A day out of Tokyo to visit Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. I was properly thought how to do prayers in both ways (and had to do them, too)!

Read: A dummy in Japan. This blog is about all the things I find fascinating about Japan. And "a dummy" because I find so many every-day common things fascinating.

wow! the big statue thing is amazing
I like the traditional buildings they have, are they only at shrines and tourist places?
Did you go the place where you are supposed to wash your wallet or purse? Allegedly means that your money will never run out but this did not seem to work.
BTW: it snows in London. Tokyo weather beats ours.
Tom: Yes that building in the photo is a temple. Normal houses don't look like this.
Michael: No I haven't seen that place, such a shame!! The only thing I've seen is at the beginning of a temple or a shrine where you should wash your hands. Can you wash your purse at the same place, or is it different?
