Good fortune

I visited temples and pagodas in Asakusa. In a part of a temple they have little drawers with sheets inside.

You randomly pick one and it tells you your fortune. I gave it a try and this is what I got. "Bad old things will turn into happiness. New hope appearing, you will get treasures. Just like dead trees bloom flowers when spring comes, everything will be prosperous."

I couldn't believe my eyes, this was just for me. :) Following what other people did, I made sure I tied the note tightly together with the rest.

And then some natives told me: if you get a good fortune, you should keep it. If you get a bad one, you should tie it on! Close call. I quickly took it off and put it in my bag.
