Read: A dummy in Japan. This blog is about all the things I find fascinating about Japan. And "a dummy" because I find so many every-day common things fascinating.

2nd floor
The supermarkets in Japan seemed so strange. So small, and such a strange selection of foods. Only today I realized they all have a 2nd floor!! Could they hide it even better?
Paul lol... Yes!! But maybe I'm generalizing too much. Most of the shops they have they call "convenience stores" (e.g. Lawson, SevenEleven), and those have only one floor - at least I haven't discovered another one so far. But then they have shops which they call "supermarkets" and are bigger and cheaper. I go shopping to two of them and both of them have a second floor which I haven't noticed until now. Actually, one has a third floor as well.
